Officially launching in 1994, WOHA has become renowned for its innovative constructions, winning a multitude of awards within South-East Asia, with projects spanning Singapore, China, Indonesia, India and Thailand.

The new Oasis Hotel Downtown reaches heights of 190.15 metres and spans 27 storeys. The building will encompass over 30 species of plants and flowers to create a seamless, ‘living’ tower, providing a number of advantages to the area, such as increased energy efficiency.

Constructed with concrete, steel and glass, a bold red aluminium façade provides a contrast to the greenery embedded within the building, with four gardens incorporated within the design to ensure the building is suitably cooled.

The hotel contains over 300 rooms, swimming pool, communal areas, and will be popular with tourists and locals.

Co-founder of WOHA, Richard Hassell, said to Curbed: “With Oasia, we’ve seen so many birds and insects flying around the building. People respond so well to seeing a hummingbird flying right outside their office window.” A private swimming pool on the sixth floor is also included.
