Oriental Consultants Global have confirmed that the Tazara flyover, situated at the Nelson Mandela Expressway and Nyerere Road within Dar es Salaam in Tanzania will commence in October 2016.

The flyer is being funded through the Japan International Cooperation Agency at a total cost of $45 million.

Oriental Consultant Global have stated on their website that their vision is “continuously drive to positively contribute to social improvements globally.”

The development will ease congestion in the city, reduce the number or road traffic accidents and develop the city’s current infrastructure to cope with the increased demand. The project will take under three years to complete, incorporating the build of a 425 metre bridge.

Project Manager, Nobuhiko Maruni from Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Company Limited, said: “This is the big bridge to be constructed along this traffic, thus we need to have a good work plan to ensure that it is completed as per contractual period”, and will therefore increase construction jobs for workers within Tanzania when the build commences.
