Skanska and IKEA are increasing production of their BoKlok (Live Smart) affordable homes. BoKlok's President, Jonas Spangenberg, commented: "We continue to grow. A few years ago we produced 300 units per year, now it’s around 1000 and we are aiming at 1500 units in five years."

The BoKlok plant in Gullringen, Sweden, will be increasing its staff by up to 70 people. It currently has 180 employees, the vast majority of which are carpenters and painters. The plant produces BoKlok modules including everything except the white goods and range from blocks of flats to terraced houses.
