BESIX to construct drinking water treatment plant in Ivory Coast

Construction Global reports on a new BESIX project

BESIX has concluded an agreement with PFO Africa to carry out the civil engineering works for a drinking water treatment plant. This project was designed and supervised by Veolia, and will strengthen the drinking water supply to the city of Abidjan in the Ivory Coast.

Located on the road to Grand Alépé, a town 40 kilometres north of Abidjan, this plant will treat water from the river Mé for the inhabitants of the country's main city.
BESIX will start the earthworks before the end of October 2018. All work should be completed in December 2020.
