Balfour Beatty, the UK’s largest contractor, has been selected for the construction of a 121,000 sq m complex in Florida. The project, which is being developed by NP International, will be located in Coral Gables with access to Miami International Airport and US Highway 1.

The complex, Gables Station, will be mixed use, made up of three towers with 11,000 sq m of retail space, over 400 residential units, 66 hotel rooms and indoor parking facilities for 1000 cars.

The project is due to be completed in 2020. According to Global Construction Review, Balfour Beatty’s Florida President, Scott Skidelsky said: “NP International develops meaningful projects in close proximity to public transportation systems in urban locations that maximise value for their communities.”

He added, according to Design Build Network: “We’ve had the privilege of being NPI’s construction partner on world class projects in the past and we’re honoured for the opportunity to once again be their partner in delivering a project as unique as Gables Station.”
