Lendlease wins contract for £350mn Commonwealth Games’ village in Birmingham

Lendlease to develop Birmingham City University into Commonwealth Games athletes' village by 2022

The Sydney-headquartered construction company, Lendlease, has been selected as the contractor to develop the 2022 Commonwealth Games athletes’ village.

The £350mn (US$446mn) project, dubbed the Perry Barr regeneration development, will be located in Birmingham, UK.

The company were selected as the main contractor to transform the former Birmingham City University site by Birmingham City Council.

The village is set to accommodate approximately 6,500 athletes and officials during the game, and will be used to create 1,400 new homes in the city following the event.
