Mace has announced the appointment of Pawan Maini as the new Country Manager for its operations in India.

Pawan replaces Stuart Robinson, who has led Mace’s operations in India since 2016. Stuart is returning to take up a role in Mace’s UK consultancy business. The appointment comes as Mace pushes forward for further growth in India as part of its new 2022 Business Strategy, particularly diversifying the business to deliver more infrastructure work.

Pawan has more than 25 years of experience in the construction and infrastructure sector across the globe. For the last 17 years, he has primarily worked for multinational companies operating in the Indian market.

His previous work has included senior leadership positions in India with Ramboll, Halcrow, CH2M Hill and IFC. The companies he has led have performed Project Management, Program Management, Design and Design Build. He has worked on a range of high profile infrastructure projects in India, including Mumbai Airport Terminal 2, the Agra Lucknow Expressway and the Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail.

Jason Millett, Mace’s Chief Operating Officer for Consultancy, said: “Pawan has worked on some of India’s most complex projects and programmes, and has first-hand experience of successfully growing multi-national construction and infrastructure businesses in India. His appointment is a huge step for our Indian business and I’m sure he will help lead the team from strength to strength.”

Pawan Maini, Mace’s Country Manager for India, said: “Mace has a well-earned reputation as a global consultancy and construction company, and I’m very proud to be appointed as the company’s new Country Manager. The team here in India are already delivering fantastic projects and exceptional results for their clients - and I’m looking forward to working with them as we plan and deliver the next phase of Mace’s growth.”

Mark Kennedy, Mace’s Director of International Operations for the region, said: “I am delighted to welcome Pawan into Mace’s Indian business. We have seen good solid growth in our India business over the last few years and our 2022 strategy is to continue that growth into new sectors and geographical areas. The appointment of Pawan and his experience in managing large international business in India is key to our 2022 strategy for growth.

“I look forward to working closely with Pawan and our India team over the coming months and years in further developing what is one of our most exciting overseas markets”
